School History
- July 1971
Designated a Midwife Training Center by the Minister of Health and Welfare in accordance with the Act on Public Health Nurses, Midwives, and Nurses (Law No. 203 of 1948) - November 1971
Certified as a Special Training School in accordance with the School Education Act (Law No. 26 of 1947) - April 1972
Opened as the Osaka Municipal Midwife Academy at its present location - March 2002
Changed its name to the Osaka Municipal Maternity Nursing Academy

- Conducted for about 80 hours as special educational activity.
- Evening sessions for the Obstetric Nursing Practicum are held between July and the following February.
※ The number of credits, etc for 2012 is scheduled to be revised in accordance to the ministerial ordinance to partially revise the Rules on the Designation of Schools and Training Facilities for Public Health Nurses, Midwives and Nurses.
